Are you feeling concerned about changes that could occur in our country after Jan 20?
Many Americans, especially those in the LGBTQIA+ community, are feeling scared about the potential changes to come in our country after Jan 20, 2025. I don’t intend to exacerbate the fear, but I am also a realist—an optimistic realist, but a realist, all the same. We don’t know if/when the new Administration will find a way to remove the right to future same-sex marriages (and we don’t even know if barring interracial marriages might also be in their sights). The Respect for Marriage Act, passed in 2022, should afford some protections, but it might not be enough if the Supreme Court were to overturn the 2015 Obergefell decision.
While the new Administration may view anything they want as possible to create and enforce, I have to believe that it will be more challenging, legally-speaking, to nullify marriages that are already in place than to prevent new marriages from occurring. In addition to the protections of marriage, the wisest route to safeguard your rights and wishes concerning your family should include careful estate planning. If you feel the need to secure for yourself and your family the legal protections that are afforded by the institution of marriage in this country, I am willing to support you in acquiring whatever peace you might gain from such an act.
Allow me to be of service to you.

I am ordained by the Universal Life Church (ULC), which is a non-denominational religious organization with millions of members all over the world. Over the decades, the ULC has garnered global recognition for its promotion of universal togetherness and religious expression around the world. The ULC is multi-denominational, welcoming individuals of all backgrounds and belief systems into the fold. As an ordained minister of the Universal Life Church, I am granted all the rights and privileges afforded to clergy members of other faiths—including the ability to perform legal wedding ceremonies.
I am a Licensed Unity Teacher, licensed as a Unity Credentialed Leader by Unity Worldwide Ministries (UWM), which is a New Thought ministry. Unity is for people who might call themselves spiritual but not religious. Unity inspires different ways to think about the force of love and intelligence that many people call God. Unity is inviting, inclusive, and welcoming to all.
As an officer of a religious organization and authorized to conduct a marriage ceremony, I am qualified to officiate such ceremonies in Texas. Texas does not require officiants to “register” in any way. Because I meet the requirements of the law, I am legally authorized to sign your marriage certificate to be returned to the county clerk in Texas where you obtained it.
As a seminary student who will graduate and be ordained as an Interfaith/Interspiritual Minister in June 2025, I embrace the essential, universal truths that all major religions offer. Many people today consider themselves as spiritual but not religious and struggle to find a church home where they feel comfortable and accepted. I welcome couples of any or no religion who want to solemnly undertake marriage vows. We can design a ritual that honors the beliefs of you and your spouse.
Because I am immunocompromised, I prefer to preside over small/micro wedding ceremonies of less than 8 persons in attendance and/or ceremonies that choose an outdoor venue for the proceedings.
Do not let money be the obstacle to your wedding ceremony. I am here to be of service. Give me the opportunity to discuss your intentions and wishes for your event.
